If you are planning on auditioning for Moana Jr, we highly encourage you to come out and see Descendants. This will give you an idea of the quality and type of production in which you will be auditioning.

We may double-cast this show. If so, each cast member is guaranteed at least one show.
AUDITION AGE/GRADE REQUIREMENTS:
Students currently In 3rd grade through 12th grade

An audition date/time will be assigned approx. one week prior to the audition date.

Auditions will take place at The ATWAS studio in Washington Twp. MI:

Provided after registration. You will have access to audition materials at least one week before the audition.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION & AVAILABILITY:
All rehearsals are scheduled on Saturdays and/or Sundays except for the final MANDATORY Tech and Dress rehearsals (see below). We ask all students auditioning to fill out a rehearsal availability form for the show and bring it to auditions with you.
THIS IS NOT A REHEARSAL CALENDAR. It is a form where we can get your availability for Saturdays and Sundays and see what times and hours work during the weekends to set up a rehearsal schedule. Students will not need to be at all rehearsals for the whole time. When we cast the show and get everyone’s schedules, we will create a rehearsal calendar and pass that along to you.
Please print, fill out and bring the completed form to the audition. If we do not have this form filled out and turned in at the beginning of the audition, we will not be able to cast you in the show.
ONCE the rehearsal calendar is set, you may not miss any rehearsals unless they have been previously excused and are listed on the rehearsal calendar by the director. Missing rehearsal dates you have committed to may lead to removal from the show.
MANDATORY TECH, DRESS, AND PERFORMANCE DATES:

TECH: Mon. 3/7/22- 5:00-9:00pm
TECH: Tues. 3/8/22- 5:00-9:00pm
DRESS: Wed. 3/9/22 - 4:00-10:00pm
DRESS: Thurs. 3/10/22 - 4:00-10:00pm
FINAL DRESS/SHOW 3/11/22 - 4:00-10:00pm
SHOW (tentative): 3/11/22 - 7:00pm
SHOW: 3/12/22 - 11:00am & 3:00pm
$250.00 paid in two installments.
Installment 1: $50.00 audition deposit. If you attend the audition and are not cast in the show, ATWAS will fully refund your $50.00 deposit. (See Registration and Refund Policies for more information)
Installment 2: $200.00 balance due immediately when cast in the show. We will send an email with the cast list and a link to our payment page which will take you to PayPal to pay the final balance. Payment in full is due within 48 hours of the cast list being posted. If you have not paid the remaining balance, we will re-cast the role.
REGISTRATION & SHOW POLICES:
Audition registration MUST be completed and paid by Monday, Nov. 29, 2021. After that date, audition registration will be closed.
As noted, your $50 registration fee will be applied to the $250.00 production fee if you are cast in the show.
If you are NOT cast in the show and participated in the audition process, you will receive a $50 refund.
Should the response to our open audition process be sufficient enough to negatively impact our production abilities, we reserve the right to close registration early in part or fully, based on our production needs.
We will not be able to cast you if you have to miss any MANDATORY tech, dress rehearsal, or performance dates/times. Missing these dates and/or times may result in recasting your roll and there will be no refunds.
If you register and notify us via email that you will opt out of the audition, you will receive a registration refund, less a $20.00 cancellation fee. However, that email must be received one week before your audition date (the Sunday before the audition).
Any cancellations after the one-week cut-off or audition “no shows” will not be eligible for any refund.
If you are not cast in the show and participated in the audition process, you will receive a $50 refund.
If you audition and get cast in the show, but choose not to accept the roll or participate at anytime, you lose any and all payments that were made.
Once you are cast and final payment is received, there are no refunds.
