ATWAS Implements Pilot Program: Stratford Actors to Local Schools

All The World's A Stage is THRILLED to announce a new partnership program with the Stratford Festival's Acting Company & Education Department. On October 23, 2013, ATWAS implemented a pilot program that brought Stratford Festival Actors Jacob James and Carmen Grant to Willow Woods Elementary School in the Warren Consolidated School District. Working with 4th grade students throughout the day, Jacob and Carmen introduced the kids to theatre, Shakespeare, and his Midsummer Night's Dream.

The success of the pilot activities were such that ATWAS and the Stratford Education Department are entering yet another partnership program. ATWAS and Stratford will work together throughout the year to expand this pilot program, offering the workshop opportunity to schools throughout Macomb County and the SE Michigan region next fall.

"The partnership with Stratford goes straight to our (ATWAS) commitment to provide the highest theatre arts experience for our students in Macomb County and throughout our region. We could not be more excited, pleased and proud of our partnership affiliation with such a prestigious organization, that is arguably the best repertory theatre company in the world," said ATWAS Founder and Executive Director, Lou Fazzini.
