Each year, ATWAS works in partnership with the Stratford Festival in Ontario, Canada to provide additional professional training opportunties for our students. In September, C.A.S.T. members spend a weekend at Stratford, attending the Festival's productions and participating in workshops with Festival actors. Upon return, C.A.S.T. members prepare scenes from selected Shakespearean plays under the direction of the ATWAS staff. The scenes participate in Stratford's annual Student Players Festival. Stratford actors are brought in to work with the C.A.S.T. members, workshopping their scene twice before it is presented for adjudication at the Festival. ATWAS is fortunate enough to be able to bring these Stratford Company members to lead workshops both at our studio and at select schools in the area.
