Our ATWAS classes focus on the process rather than the product of theatre. Placing emphasis on the creative expression of ideas and personal development of artistic skills, students create theatre through collaboration, developing life skills specific to theatre as an art discipline.

The drama workshop places emphasis on cooperation, concentration, movement and story development in a non-competitive environment. Learning the tools of an actor, and exploring art and music, students will learn to develop characters from familiar stories, as well as creating those of their own. Students will develop physical, social, and artistic skills through theatre games, creative movement, improvisation, and pantomime.

This program is run through the MACOMB CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS , therefore all registration takes place through them. The registration button below will take you to their website.

This workshop introduces our students to the concepts of a Summer Stock Theatre production, going from audition through performance in a 2-week period. Throughout the 2-week summer program our Musical Theatre Workshop, students will be introduced to the 3 components of Musical Theatre. Placing focus on script and utilizing theatre games, students will develop fundamental acting, vocal and dance skills that not only teach the art form, but impact self-confidence, creativity, and imagination. They will then take their newfound skills and apply them to production, with a culminating workshop performance on the Macomb Center main stage. Tickets will be sold separately and will be available for purchase through our Macomb Center Box Office.
